Convert DVD w/Menus Problem

Postby BuckSkin » 07 Jan 2021 22:11

I don't know if this is a Windows specific problem or not; please forgive me if I posted in the wrong place.
I am using 64-bit Windows 7 Pro

I have made several attempts to convert/save to mp4 a DVD that has a main menu and sub-menus.

If I check Do Not Record Menus (wording may not be precise), it converts the entire DVD no problem, except that I do not then have the convenience of the menus.

If I leave the option unchecked, to record saving the menus, it records the main menu only in a repeating one-minute ten-second loop, over and over again.

I upgraded to the most recent version and with the same results.

What am I missing; what am I doing wrong ?

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

Is it possible to convert DVDs and retain the menu structure and usability ?

https://wiki.videolan.org/Rip_a_DVD/

But it might be easier with Handbrake:
