Play CD/DVD on C# with VLC

I am a beginner in programming. I wanted to make a C # program using VLC to read CDs / DVDs.
I started by creating a folder on my computer, put some .mp3 and .mp4 files and being able to hear/see.
Then I put a CD on my pc, I tried to apply the same theory, but I couldn't because the files were .cda, so what I realized is like the image of the real file.
It is really very important for me, if someone can help me I would be very grateful!
