3.3.1 Lazy scrolling behaviour?

Since the latest update, VLC has been showing a sort of lazy scrolling/seeking behaviour that is in between the old seek behaviour and that of fast seek. The seek does not feel instant and feels like there is a small gap in releasing the finger and displaying the content.

Is it only me or is it a new behaviour?
