Audio off by -.500 on every file

Hi all.
I'm having audio sync issues on VLC. I'm using the latest version on Catalina and the audio is off on every single file I play by the same amount. I've gone into preferences tinkered with adjustments and it does not fix it. I've reverted to an older VLC, same issue.

I bought and use VLC streamer (love it) and the files align perfectly. On my older machine, the files are fine.

Quick time, the files are fine. I downloaded a few other video playing apps and they all seem to work okay too, but VLC is good and I'd like to keep using it.

Right now, when a video is playing, I have to go Window/Track Synchronization, and adjust the audio manually every. single. time.

There has got to be a fix for this. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful.
