Playlist display side panel is empty

Postby pijcab » 14 Oct 2020 10:20

Hi,

I tried looking around to see if there wasn't already an answer to this but it is kinda hard to explain this bug (maybe?).

So I had this happen to me a few times and the only solution I know of is straight up clean (re) installing VLC as a whole, so here's my issue :

My Playlist "sidepanel" is now empty and I cannot navigate to elements such as UPnP, My Videos, Media Library etc, here's a screenshot :

(The UI is in French)

Whereas I'm expecting to see this Image

Am I missing something here? I tried anything from clicking literally every possible menu options I can or resetting the settings to defaults. :?

VLC version is 3.0.8 Vetinari

Use mouse to resize the hidden left menu.

Use mouse to resize the hidden left menu.
Oh wow thanks, I think you meant the upper menu?(or upper left)

Also Is it me or is that the most hidden menu to ever exist in the world of modern day software ?

For those in the same case and wondering where that menu is :

Drag the invisible "handle" down to show the usual "Playlists" menu

If that's not already a request, I would like to argue that resize bar needs to be clearly shown for clarity

Sorry I misunderstood.
That worked for me.
It's back.
Thank you so much!
