Can VLC please have the Notch Support on phones that have the notch as in giving users the option to include or exclude the notch area as the video playable area?

For example, many games have 'Notch Support' in terms that the interactive items never appear in the area of notch regardless of the height of the notch.

I am not sure what you're asking for. if it's about the video placement, it's already taken into account. if it's about the interface, we never display items under a notch... and I see no reason we should.

It's about the video placement. I'm an OnePlus 6 user, and videos that have 2.35:1 ratio or so, always end up having an end of them obscured by the notch. It might not be a huge issue, but definitely ruins the experience. I always have to hide the notch area in the settings to be able to enjoy the video.

Regardless of it it being possible to bake in the app or not, I'm grateful for you taking the time read and reply to the post.
