Skins don't show in list

Hi,
I just downloaded some skins and copid them into the skins folder in vlc. But after restarting vlc, the skins don't appear in the list of selectable skins.
Why not?

Must I start vlc with some kind of command line?

Make sure the skins are .vlt files. If you load the skins "manually" (i.e. using the ctrl-s shortcut) is it working?

If these hints couldn't help you, please give more information about your problem (OS, VLC version, name of the directory where you copied the skins, content of the directory, etc...)
