JPEG filesize a problem for VLC ?

Postby protu » 06 Aug 2020 17:17

I have pictures shot as a panoramic (180°). Its size is greater than 20MB. Is this a problem for the VLC player to display it?

Or is it the geometry , or the reolution, number of pixels or what is the reason for not displaying it ?

Other programs, like image viewer are able to open the images.

I was able to open a 30 MB JPG file but not a 200 MB one. I guess it might be about the resolution.
Please, upload your original problematic file zipped to Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.

So it is probably not the file size, but the picture peculiarities

I'm not sure what are the resolution and file size limits for VLC, maybe a dev will tell us :)
