I watch Godards Pierot le fou. It starts in Russian. Which I understand. Then I switch it to the second language which turns out to be other version of Russian translation. Then I switch the language with L again to the third language and it is finally French. But I do not understand anything. I finally turn on subtitles. They are Russian subtitles. I switch them to English. It takes half a minute for them to show up. Thanks VLC. There has been Belmondo in bath with cigarette in his teeth reading a book. I want to wind back to read what he said. The navigation bar is not present. I remember about VLC bug that the navigation bar is on the first monitor. I start to curse VLC. F...k, f...k, f...king, f...k. I know that it is not easy to get the bar to the second monitor. You have to turn on the main monitor and 1) hover the mouse over the screen. 2) Wait for navigation bar to appear on other monitor. 3) move your mouse quickly to it. (if you are too slow, it disappears). 4) if you did not manage it, start over. 5) at this point you start wondering, were the vlc developers trained in gestapo. 6) you finally manage to click on it. 7) not that it would allow to slide it there. it has jumped now to the active screen. 9) you have to reposition your mouse. 10) go to the active screen and move the slider back. 11) it does not go where you wanted.
So in short I do not have enough swear words to describe the experience. There are so many bloody students ready to develop the latest codecs. But there is no bloody f...king idiot who would just do the job. To develop an app which was not a fragile injured egg.
Salut!
