Audio AC3 5.1 problem actor's dialogs - too quiet, ambiental sound (music, explosions, etc.) too loud

Postby MrMister » 14 Jun 2020 07:55

Hello
This problem happens to many people when they reproduce *.avi files encoded with AC3 5.1 audio, which is Dolby Digital (AC-3).
Many people with LG and SAMSUNG TVs are experiencing this problem and the problems is from the video players.
The problem seems to be the conversion from multichanel sound 5.1 or 7.1 to stereo. The *.avi file has encoded 5 audio channels (AC-3 5.1) and when playing it, VLC convert those audio channel into 2 channels (the speakers of our TV, left 1, and right 2, just 2 channels, that is stereo).
In this process, the central sound channel, which is where the dialogs are recorded sounds quietly comparying it with the other channels, where the ambiental sound, music, etc. is recorded. The results are a quiet sound for dialogs and a loud sound for music, explosions, etc.
I am wondering if I can manage the audio channels for the AC3 5.1 inside Videolan, in order to increase the sound of the dialogs.
Could be possible to do this? How?
Cheers

PD There are filters in which you can control independently the audio channels of the AC3 5.1 files, increasing the voice instead the surround...
