Using VLC on Dish Network Smartbox

I am attempting to set up a stream to a Dish Network Smartbox, but cannot get it to work.

I've looked around the forum and a few other sites, watched a couple of YouTube videos, and I think I am close to getting it to work but haven't found the correct setup for my situation. My Dish program guide shows that I have the IP stream in the lineup, but no video from VLC is playing. The VLC shows the timer advancing on the playback, but I am also unable to open another instance of VLC and watch the stream so I am pretty sure I am not setting up the stream correctly in VLC.

Has anyone here streamed from a computer to a Dish Smartbox? If you got it to work, what was the procedure you followed, and could you share it?
