How to create files that will work in Sony Movie Studio 13

Postby braxerax » 29 May 2020 21:12

I recently downloaded vlc to use it to rip many dvds that were created using a dvd/vcr combo recorder a few years ago. These dvds play fine in VLC. The files created after i ripped the disc also played fine in VLC. However I cannot seem to create a file that will function correctly when brought into Sony Movie Studio 13. I have tried many file types, video/audio codec combinations but it seems it comes into movie studio either only as a video stream or only as an audio stream. Does anyone have a fix for this? I know that sonys editing software is somewhat infamous for having files not pull into the program correctly, but maybe there's something I'm missing since I'm new to VLC. Thanks in advance!
