Converting DTS to multi channel FLAC file

Hi, I am trying to convert a multi channel DTS audio file to a multi channel FLAC file. The result is a two channel FLAC file, however. Even if I convert a multi channel FLAC file to FLAC I get a two channel file. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
