Simply to play a cd

I have had hard time getting a cd to play. It doesn't have titles in its data(old style), so it comes up as unnamed files. The menus have a open disc line and then it asks which track I would like to play. I want to play all of them in order. It should list the tracks 1-10 etc. and a play symbol > , but no it runs me through every tech area media configuration(choices). I just wanted to play a cd!
How can I get a music box (I saw yesterday), to pop out and play cd. Or couldn't we have a simplified dvd/cd player submenu? that lists the chapters and songs..?
