Is there a way i can setup that where i click in the profress bar that it will play there... now it jumps in blocks of a certain amount of time unless i have the cursors exactly on the slider.

That is unfortunately a limitation in the progress bar widget that we're using. We can't really change that behavior ourselves, it would have to be done in wxWidgets ( wxWidgets.org )
