Super-newbie question: Can VLC be used to compress full DVD?

Postby jakobkraft » 21 Dec 2005 16:14

That is, can I compress a full DVD (including menus, special features, etc.) using VLC player?

I know how to use Fair Use Wizard and PocketDVD Studio to compress a movie and make it an .avi file, but I don't know of any software that can compress entire DVD content to around 300 - 500 MB.

Can VLC player do this? Thanks in advance...!

VLC is just a Player.
