Has anyone got the latest version to play all the way to the end of an .mp4?

I ask because here (V3.0.8, Windows 7), the player goes to the stopped state one second short of the end of every .mp4 file e.g.



The same videos play fine on YouTube e.g. https://youtu.be/yUSizQBWfW0



After this premature stop, pressing play gives this https://i.imgur.com/1w6zCR0.png

Unsurprisingly the player fails to loop regardless of the loop/repeat button on loop all or loop one https://i.imgur.com/UlcKxoD.png.
