Can a snapshot be delayed?

I am capturing a snapshot from a udp stream using the video filter>scene. I always get a scene00001 image that is usually pixelated and then a scene00XX image based on the scene-ratio. Is there a way to discard the scene00001 image or delay the snapshot until the stream is stable?
