Garbled video casting to Chromecast Ultra

Hello,

I'm really not sure what is causing this problem, but when trying to stream a 1080p video to my Chromecast Ultra, the audio works but the video is garbled/scrambled (not sure of the correct terminology - see attached screenshot).

The video codec (from ffmpeg) is

Can anyone shed any light on the problem here? Could it be something to do with HDCP? Could it be that the video format is unsupported (but in this case I'd expect VLC to warn me)?
