Streaming VLC through Discord "Go Live" Audio Delay

Postby thejiang » 20 Nov 2019 00:52

Slight audio delay (ranging from 0.25 to a full second of audio delay) and sometimes there's no audio (this is solved by restarting the Go Live Stream on discord)

PC Specs and monitor (if this is applicable):
144mhz monitor but I watch on secondary monitor while I stream, so I can game.
GPU: nvidia 1080
CPU: i7-9700k

Fixes I've tried:
- updated graphics drivers
- resetting audio devices
- changing audio devices
- run in admin mode (Both VLC and Discord)
- Disabling the option for 'Hardware Acceleration' (in discord settings)
- Disabling "Use our Latest technology to capture your screen." (In discord voice settings)

Watching a movie, 720p/1080p. Using Discord's streaming "Go Live" option to stream my current window. In this case, VLC's window.

So VLC is what is streamed ? Then you have to report the issue to discord, VLC cannot do anything.
