Remember Last Playlist Between Sessions

I'm trying to migrate from Winamp to VLC, but one of the features that I'll be losing is that the last playlist is remembered across sessions. For example, I can load up a handful of audio books, shutdown the computer, come back a week later, reopen Winamp, and the handful of songs I had loaded up before will be the "default" playlist (and it even remembers what chapter I was last listening to).

Since I can't find any relevant options for automatic playlist resume, I'm assuming that this isn't yet a feature.
