VLC does support MPEG Transport Streams or .ts files and I assume you are asking for help regarding trans-coding into another format. You should look at the help section for descriptions as there is no good way of answering this with so little information.

Maybe d-bo is simply trying to learn how to transfer the \TS to the drive.
