Video runs smoothly on my main screen, but when I drag VLC over to the TV (or change setting to auto full-screen on the TV), it only shows garbled lines + vlc player is extremely slow on 2nd screen.
Audio works perfectly on 2nd screen but no video (full screen or un-full screen).
Not sure how to make it work - any help is appreciated!
Troubleshoot methods:
- Restart Mac
- Update software/drivers
- Reset VLC preferences
- Reinstall latest VLC version
- Tested video playback using youtube in 1080P on Chrome on 2nd screen + playing same movie in quicktime full screen (no issues)
- Changed video output module to: MAC OS X Open GL, Core Animation Open GL Layer (Mac OS X)
- Forced Open GL/GLES hardware converter to the Apple OpenGL CVPX converter
- Increased file caching to 600, 1000, 3000, 6000 (all in ms)
- Turned on/off Video Auto Scaling
- Turned on/off Fix HDTV height
- Turned on/off Deinterlacing
