Remembering Audio Device

Running 3.0.7.1, but not seen a version where I figured out how to have the audio device stay where I leave it.

Also numerous OS changes. running high sierra now. Im sure theres a way to have it stay where I leave it.

Been trying to have it stay on HDMI (encoded output) so I don't need to select it every time.

Its not a big deal though its been great besides that.

There are 2 or more topics about this. It prevents me from upgrading from vlc 2.2.8
If they fixed this unable to save encoded output and make playback using software acceleration better I could use vlc v3
But they have ignored these for a year
