Album images are very jaggy on VLC Android

My app is VLC for Android 3.1.6(2019-05-27) on Android 9(Android One device).

In short, album arts displayed on VLC music player are very rough.


This is a screenshot of playing the same mp3 file on Google Music app.


I think this is because VLC refers to very small thumbnail caches in jpg files. I want this app to be able to show high resolution images.

Yes, confirmed, and it's the same on Oreo.

I'm seeing this as well, but only in the library view. When actually playing a song, if you are looking at the view with the music controls, with the playlist view disabled, the album art is displayed in full quality.
