Increase volume music, decrease dialogue in video

Postby ddh4 » 14 Apr 2019 16:52

Hello.

I have a video in which I want to figure out a particular song that is playing in the background. The dialogue however is too loud. Is there a way I can boost the volume of just the music track and/or decrease the volume of the dialogue?

Every time I search this online it just provides a solution for the reverse because that's a common issue...

Thanks for any help.

Cheers.

You can use the opposite of the reverse solution.

For stereo recordings with typical mixing, you can also enable the karaoke audio filter in the preferences.

Thanks for the reply. Using the opposite was the first thing I thought of, but it wouldn't be as simple as checking or unchecking something :)

Karaoke didn't appear to be in the preferences for some reason, but by googling that I did find another solution. For anyone who would need it...

Thanks again!
