Snapshot filename

Postby XJ12 » 08 Mar 2019 06:38

Hi there,

I'm using VLC 2.2.8 Waetherwax (version 3 doesn't work well) on my W7x64 desktop machine and the filename of the snapshots are weird : "vlcsnap-4267-09-12-13h38m08s122.jpg" or "vlcsnap-4590-07-23-18h19m48s366.jpg"

Options are standard except for the JPG format. One guy here asked about "Snapshot filenaming error" and was answered "snapshots are formatted as "{perfix}{year}-{month}-{day}-{hour}h{min}m{sec}s{msec}.{ext}" "
but I don't see any appropriate place for these parameters.

My filenames are as per this format anyway, except that numbers are random...

Any suggestion ?

Thanks for helping
