4K HDR on OSX

hello, i am trying to play 4k HDR content from osx to sony tv (KD65XF7096) but it doesn't recognize TV profile to start rendering in HDR any help ?

Hi, I don't think there is support for real HDR on Apple TV yet. It needs a whole new renderer that is currently work-in-progress.

i asked for OSX, i thought apple tv was already ready

VLC for apple TV can't output HDR, it can only read it.

Whatsoever, sorry for confusion. For macosx, there is not support neither, it's also in the way (it's the same video output in fact), but it might not work on your TV. As far as I know macosx supports HDR only on the main screen at the moment, not on HDMI output.
