VLC live stream Setup requirements

Hello,

Please i need some help setting up a live stream on a LAN using VLC. All cameras are connected to a video mixer with a single output going to a computer. Currently I use a Mac laptop and blackmagic shuttle capture card to stream to the internet. My current requirement however is to stream to the LAN and I wish to use VLC to accomplish this. Please can someone help recommend the best type of hardware & software configuration to achieve this using VLC? I am willing to switch from a Mac or use an alternative capture card.
