Scanlines instead of Subtitles on 3.0.5

Postby aadhewQoNVCr29JB3Df5 » 04 Jan 2019 21:01

Hi all,

Just to report a bug, ever since I upgraded to VLC 3.0.5 (Mac), subtitles of my HEVC encoded films don't display properly anymore. Instead of subtitles, I get glitches and scanlines. Looks like this:

Here's some technical information of the file I was playing. I can confirm this happens with all films encoded like this:

Have checked a few films not encoded in HEVC, and the problem did not occur.

EDIT: I just downgraded to 3.0.4, and subtitles are working flawlessly again.

Best,
x

Thanks for the report! We will provide an updated 3.0.5 binary very soon which will fix the issue.
