Start on Mac & Finish on IOS

Hi,

I like to know if its possible to start a movie on VLC on my Mac and finish to watch it on my iPhone, by streaming it on and then come back to my Mac again if i need it?

Did you try it?

It won't work, because in order for it to work, you would need some kind of syncing of the timestamp where you left off between your iOS device and your Mac. It works e.g. on YouTube (when you are logged in with your Google account): when you stop a video on iOS and close the app, the timestamp where you stopped is saved online and when you open up your Desktop computer (and your're logged in here too), you can resume and finish watching the clip where you left. I am assuming that this is what you mean.

Currently, videos played with VLC on your local iOS device don't know anything about the video playbacks on your Mac and vice versa.
