bitrate unit in Convert / Stream

Postby gebseng » 19 Oct 2018 12:18

Hi everyone,

I am trying to upscale and save videos in VLC 3.0.3 (Mac 64bit). The default for both bitrate and framrate is "0", which I guess means use original bitrate/framerate?

I tried to change the bitrate value to 20000, to get an output bitrate of 20 Mbit/sec, but the result was a very small and highly compressed video file. Can you tell me which units this field uses?

thanks,

geb

It's a bit idiotic, but I think 20000 will be interpreted as kbps.
