VLC 3.0.4 and 3.0.5 no longer playing certain zip files

I've never had an issue with these zip files before, and they are not corrupted in any way.
Extracting the zip files fixes all problems.

Repackaging the files back into a zip folder recreates the same problem, even when creating a new archive.
Even redownloading the zip files does not fix any of these issues.

None of the extracted files have any errors.

The zip files are sourced from Bandcamp, both working and non-working downloads.
The music contained in these files are .flac files.

There appears to be no correlation with file size regarding the issue.

I've noticed that the problem sometimes resolves temporarily by removing the media library listing and re adding the zip file back.
But this fix only works for the duration that VLC is open.
Closing VLC and reopening it will cause the same zip file to display the zipped audio files in the media library tree, but not play any contained audio files

I also cannot play any .flac files from a zip archive. Is there a workaround for this?
