iPad App won’t let me put files in an order

As the title suggests, the VLC app won’t let me edit files in any order I want. For example, say I create a folder and I put related videos in that folder (e.g. boxing video 1, boxing video 2 and boxing video 3) the app won’t let me put the videos in order (1, 2 and 3 etc) so they can play one after the other automatically. I can select the “edit” option, but when i move the files around it won’t “set”. Am i the only one with this problem and am i doing something wrong?
