ActiveX Plugin - using Proxy?

Postby siers » 21 Mar 2018 04:53

Hi All,

I've got the VLC ActiveX v2 plugin working, however one of my network streams is referencing an external URL which requires to go through a proxy server.

I've checked the help documentation for the VLC ActiveX and Web Plugins and can't find any reference on how to set a proxy server.

The proxy has already been configured in the VLC player itself and the network stream works OK, just can't get it to work through the ActiveX plugin.

I've also tried referencing the proxy in the URL e.g. "http://proxy:8080/http://mystream.url" but doesn't work

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff.

I am not sure this is doable, though.

Thanks, I guess specifying a proxy was just not built into the ActiveX controls.

Is there a way to suggest this functionality be added?
