How to create playlist for radio stations

I'm not very tech savvy so require an answer in simplistic form please. lol
I'm trying to create a playlist of radio stations as found under the Icecast Radio Directory. I can put stations into the empty playlist at the top of the menu but for the like of me cannot figure out how to save that playlist.
Can anyone help?

You can save the playlist in VLC menu: Media > Save Playlist to File... Ctrl+Y
You could use Media Library instead of Playlist. It is automatically saved/loaded playlist (ml.xspf).
