Multi file - Add to playlist - Out of Order

Postby Antikythera » 06 Feb 2018 08:32

If I select a file folder and "Add to VLC Playlist" it queues all the files in the directory and starts playing the first file then continues playing them in order.

If I open the folder, multi select all the individual files and "Add to VLC Playlist" it queues all the files in the directory and starts playing one of the files at random then continues playing them in order. I have to open the playlist, sort by title, then play the first file.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

My observation is that whichever file you right-clicked on to open the context menu plays first and then continues from then on. So after selecting all your files, right-click on the file you want to first play and select "Add to VLC playlist" from there.

However, I have to request something from you. Can you help me with my issue? It seems this behavior has changed for me, and if I select multiple files and select add to playlist, they each open in a new window, instead of the same playlist window.
