After playing a lan file, vlc often loses the network folder

Postby pzbrawl » 10 Dec 2017 07:45

LG V20 4/64GB running Android 7, after playing a LAN file vlc can't find the folder it was in, has to be restarted.

Oddly, vlc running on a T95Z Plus against the same lan files has no such problem.

Any ideas?

I'll figure out how to get a screenshot, meanwhile the issue is dead simple: on an LG V20 phone running Android 7.0, I select a LAN music file to play from a display of files in a LAN folder; after play is done, VLC no longer displays that folder's files, it displays no files at all, hitting the back button does nothing, VLC has lost track of the LAN folder hierarchy altogetheR, it must be restarted before it again displays any network folder's contents.

I also have this issue. My Android VLC app is and has been setup to play files from my PC, and has been working fine for weeks, however, recently the SMB folder in the local network tab has completely disappeared, and no amount of troubleshooting to my PC or Android device has created a solution.

A upnp folder for the same PC shows, but I cannot access my files via that folder. Only the SMB folder ever worked for that.
