Sort by date when connecting to SMB server?

Sort by date when connecting to SMB server?
Is it possible to have sort by date when connecting to SMB server? It appears the default is only sort by name. Also, I'm not sure if this is a setting or not but when I play a video from network it starts in the background and then I have to click on the bottom bar to make it fullscreen.
