Radionomy Takeover

There are a lot of radio stations listed in the ICECAST directory and I like to listen to many of them.
I've noticed lately that:

1) Radionomy seems to be taking over many stations...why? Their app truly sucks and it was better on VLC. How can we stop this hostile takeover?

and...

2) I can't access some non-radionomy stations now. There is a recording that says, "We're sorry. This station is not available in your country." Is this because of the political BS going on.
