vlc when i play a video lower the other application volume, can i avoid?

Postby judas black » 27 Jul 2017 08:09

hi
when i play a short video or a video vlc under w10pro 64bit does lower the other application volume

and i can understand it, if i watch a movie or a video i want to hear and it's a good idea lowering the other program audio

but sometime i use video editors and i keep on and i use vlc to watch the result , i contine to edit play with vlc and so on , so in this case i would like to disable it

can i avoid it? or disable it?
i have checked inside the preferences without luck

thanks
vlc version 2.2.6 64bit

I guess because you are using WavOut audio output.
Try DirectX or WASAPI (named Multimedia Device in VLC) audio output.
