I keep searching "Preferences", under "Tools", in VLC Media Player to try and find either a Noise Gate or noise filter to cut out hiss on videos played. Understand that a lot of videos online were mastered on tired old vhs and their weedy sound tracks are very hissy.
I use Windows 7 32 bit. I have the latest version of VLC Player (2.2.6). Why after all the years VLC Media Player has been around, have the Developers not seen fit to include a noise reduction filter for the audio?
Please Developers, can you put one in , in time for the next version?
If I have missed an appropriate setting to remove hiss, please tell me how to do it? I thought the 10 band graphic equalizer would do it but it is so feeble and hardly removes any background noise!
Regards.
