Seeking has degraded in newer versions?

Postby ricouzuki » 19 Jun 2017 03:55

Hi there, loyal VLC user for years here. I am running VLC 2.2.4 Weatherwax on Ubuntu MATE 17.04. While playback continues to be great, I have noticed that with mp4 files, seeking seems to get stuck and it takes 5+ seconds to resume. This is occurring on multiple different mp4 files from different sources. I was just wondering is there has been a major change to the engine that VLC uses in the last few versions? I wonder if maybe some regressions have been introduced?

Just curious to learn more. Not complaining, thanks for the excellent piece of software! :)

You have a wrong build, I'm afraid. What is the format?
