It's a nice thing to being able to halt that during playback, but every now and then one has to go to the toilet, make food and whatnot. During these times it'd be nice if VLC could 'sense' that, and (de)activate this feature. Other players does this. I like VLC since it plays movies like there's no tomorrow. By that I mean, it really pushes the hardware to play tough media like HD 720p & 1080p on my crappy laptop (Lenovo T60 - A real p.o.s!), almost without a lag.
Anywhoo, this function would be nice to find as an option in the settings (That really needs work too, that UI sux! It should always be in 'advanced' mode!), right next to the disable screen saver option.
If anyone else have made this request, I'm sorry, but I searched for "screen saver" and got like 700 results, and this p.o.s. takes time loading (any) pages.
