Recording entire desktop screen with video ...sound NOT WORKING!

Postby Zendo63 » 23 Apr 2017 02:58

Hi, ----(sorry for my basic english)----

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECORD A VIDEO AND IT'S SOUND FROM MY DESKTOP OR NOT ?

I've just installed an earlier version of VLC (2.1.3) planning to record video and sound from my ENTIRE desktop screen.(Later versions seems to always cause VLC to crash by doing this.)

Anyway , i don't have any problem to record a video from my desktop but no matter how i try there's no sound on the outpout file.
I have to tell that everything works fine with my laptop. I can hear my speakers , microphone is functionnal and all drivers are updated.

I've already spent a couple of hours on the internet trying to figure out the issue.
All my VLC settings looks to be ok too.

My goal is to capture and save some videos conferences in full screen mode from my desktop. (with all graphics aside explanations)
** I've made a test with a short video on Youtube to compare ... good image recording but still no sound on output !

Is VLC is able to record sound within a video ?? Or it's impossible ?
If yes, is there any twisted thing to do to make it work ?

Thanks to help an almost desperate guy !

Hi,

I have the same issue - I can capture screen with video but no sound. Can you perhaps advise setting for Windows Sound "Recording devices". I do not have external microphone.
Can anyone help?
Regards :)
