Live TV streaming question

Postby Luts » 20 Feb 2017 16:37

While I am able to stream live TV through VLC, it lags constantly. So I would like to use vlc's record function to put in a one minute delay, so that it can act as a buffer. How can I make this happen?

Streame with a TS-format to a file with and play this file after one minute.

Record video stream:

- Menu > Media > Stream... > Network > enter the network URL > Stream
- Stream Output Window > Next >
- Destination Setup > Add > File for destination (name with ts-ectention) > Next
- Transcoding Options > select profile (Video - H.264 + MP3 (TS)) > Next
- Option Setup > Stream

Open a new instance of the VLC, wait a few minutes and play the recording video
