VLC and Xampp downloads video on localhost

Hello,

I have Xampp setup on localhost. I have a dynamically created index of movies. When I click a link to a movie in Friefox it downloads the whole movie (takes about a minute) then opens and plays it in VLC.

Can anyone give me any ideas about how to get the video to play instantly?

If you want to make sure the videos will be played into the browser with VLC, you need to embed the videos into the webpage, see https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:WebPlugin
