Problem cutting video

Hi guys im new here, i have a personal DVD and i want to cut a part of it as i need a small section of it, i press the play and record button where i want it to start recording and the record button again when i want it to stop.
Problem is when i review the cut piece, the audio is going and no video and then the video comes in with the audio, cant work it out can anyone help me please.

Recording and transcoding are somehow broken in recent builds, this is a known issue awaiting for a fix.
Meanwhile you should use an older version.

Good question. I've found 2.1.5 (Rincewind) works.
