VLC for tvOS and external SRT Files...

When I use VLC for Windows or Mac OS X/macOS, if I have an external .SRT file of the same name in the same folder as the file (an .MP4 for example), it allows me the option of subtitles. Using SMB sharing to connect to a Mac Server, it doesn't appear that VLC for tvOS does this.

Is there a reason why this doesn't work for the tvOS version?
