Opening new vids in existing VLC instances, how ?

Postby Jokque » 29 Oct 2005 17:41

How do i make it so when i open a new media file supported by VLC (well, that i have set VLC to be the default player for) to automatically open in the existing VLC window, instead of making a new one ?

Also, is it possible to have the sound setting saved ? whenever i close the program and open it again the sound is at 50%, regardless of what i had set it to when i closed the program

  1. Open the preferences
  2. Select the "advanced options" checkbox
  3. Expand "Advanced" (directly under Stream output)
  4. Select "Other" - on that pane will be "Allow only one running instance"
Ex Turbo Modestum
